Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Catalysis, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily use Catalysis for personal, non-commercial spiritual growth and community participation.

User Conduct

Users agree to use the platform in a manner consistent with Christian values and our Community Guidelines (available at /community-guidelines). By using Catalysis, you agree to treat all members with respect regardless of denomination, tradition, or background. Inappropriate content or behaviour may result in content removal, shadow ban, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination at Catalysis's sole discretion.

Content Guidelines

All content shared on the platform should be encouraging, truthful, and aligned with biblical principles. We reserve the right to moderate, remove, or restrict the visibility of any content at our sole discretion. For detailed expectations, please review our Community Guidelines.

Local Media Usage

Catalysis allows you to play audio and video files stored on your personal device alongside journey activities, where permitted by the journey creator. By linking local media files, you confirm that you own or have the legal right to use those files and accept full copyright responsibility for any content you play through this platform. Catalysis does not host, store, transmit, or have access to your local media files. Local media is private to your device and is never shared with other users, groups, or the journey creator.

Journey Content & Licensing

Journeys created on Catalysis are the intellectual property of their respective creators. Journey creators may choose a content license for their work: All Rights Reserved (no modification or local media substitution permitted), Open Use with Attribution (others may customise and must credit the original creator), or Public Domain (creator waives all rights). You agree to respect the license chosen by each journey creator. Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, or modification of journey content outside the terms of its license is prohibited.

User-Created Content

When you create journeys, testimonies, prayer requests, or other content on Catalysis, you retain ownership of your original work. By submitting or publishing any content on the platform — including text, images, audio, video, scripture annotations, or any other material — you represent and warrant that: (a) you are the original creator of the content or have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to submit and share it on the platform; (b) your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy right, or other intellectual property or proprietary right of any third party; and (c) where your content features, references, or was produced by any other individual, you have obtained all necessary consents from those individuals. By publishing content on the platform, you grant Catalysis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute your content within the platform solely for the purpose of providing our services. You may remove your content at any time, which will revoke this license going forward.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Catalysis, its operators, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your access to or use of the platform; (b) any content you submit, post, upload, share, or transmit through the platform, including any claim that your content infringes, misappropriates, or violates the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party; (c) your violation of these Terms of Service; (d) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (e) any dispute between you and another user. Catalysis reserves the right, at your expense, to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defence of such claims. You agree not to settle any such matter without the prior written consent of Catalysis.

Moderation & Platform Discretion

Catalysis reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to shadow ban, temporarily suspend, or permanently ban any user who publishes content or uses the platform in ways that: (a) create outcry or scandal within the Christian community; (b) are generally considered anti-faith, blasphemous, or contrary to the foundational principles of the Christian faith; (c) are deemed controversial, inflammatory, or harmful to the health and unity of the community; or (d) violate any provision of these Terms or our Community Guidelines. This right applies even to content or behaviour that may not explicitly violate a specific listed rule but is determined, in Catalysis's judgement, to be detrimental to the spirit and purpose of this platform. Catalysis is under no obligation to provide advance notice of moderation actions, though we will endeavour to do so where practical. Shadow bans may be applied without notification. Users who have been permanently banned may not create new accounts.

Catalysis is not a replacement for your local church or professional counseling. We encourage users to maintain active participation in their local faith communities. Content marked as "Using personal media" is user-provided and not endorsed, reviewed, or supplied by Catalysis or the journey creator.
